Duties & Responsibilities
• Strategy
• To strategize the 360 Implementation that encompasses full PDCA cycle of accountability; Plan, Develop, Control and Action to ensure the achievement of short and long term Revenue and Profit Target of Fresh Food Retail.
• To drive a successful, profitable and sustainable Innovation strategy for Fresh Food product lines that befit Maru brand positioning
• To develop and activate effectively and efficiently 6 PS ; Products, Promotions, Place, Price, People and Positioning for all Maru Fresh Food offerings
• To continuously sharpen the strategies with consistent scanning of the competitive ecosystem; Customer, Channel, Competitor, Cost and Category Trend
• To strategically collaborate with peers in Dry Merchandising and Brand Marketing to build strong sustainable Transaction Count and Ticket Size; delivering myNEWS through Maru brand as the most preferred CVS destination in Malaysia.
• To prepare Annual Budget and successfully obtain approval from Management in conjunction with the superior.
• Operations
• To forecast and plan the sales of Fresh Food in myNEWS stores vs target, recovery of sales on any shortfalls and mitigation plan.
• To conduct range reviews and undertaking continuous improvement of the product offered through effective range analysis for Fresh Food.
• To develop 3 months rolling forecast and Fresh Food Brand plan for myNEWS, in conjunction with Marketing Thematic Plan.
• To perform all duties of price negotiation for goods developed by all 3rd party supplier.
• To contribute to the effective demand planning of Fresh Food and to minimize in-store wastages of Fresh Food.
• To keep abreast of the current market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for Fresh Food.
• To create effective in-store sales promotions on Fresh Food with effective ROI on promotions.
• To collaborate with key stakeholders on optimal store layout planning for Fresh Food.
• To visit stores consistently and perform market research on market trends and competitor analysis on Fresh Food
• To create effective relationships with outlet staff through regular touchpoints.
• To lead and create implementable store SOPs for all food handling matters under myNEWS
• Liaise with operations to execute compliance, training and SOP creation
• Ensure simple and effective flow of operation at store level for all new products and continuous improvement for an existing product.
• To track and ensure operational excellence for all Fresh Food-related promotions, new product launches and other related activities.
• Work with Japanese counterparts to identify suitable Fresh Food products to be introduced for the continuous innovation pipeline
• To ensure the Maru and myNEWS brand image is upheld through every planning and execution.
• People
• To lead, manager and motivate respective Fresh Food Executives or Assistants.
