LAB ASSISTANT, MR

Duties & Responsibilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in science, food technology, chemistry, or related field is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and safety practices.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literacy (e.g., basic Excel, data entry systems).

Job Requirements

  • Prepare and label samples for testing as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests (e.g., moisture, pH, microbiological, or chemical analysis depending on industry).
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and report abnormalities to supervisors.
  • Assist in the calibration and cleaning of lab equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
  • Monitor inventory of lab supplies and report needs for replenishment.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols in the laboratory.
  • Support R&D team in testing new products and improve existing products shelf life extension
