SENIOR STORE SALES SUPERVISOR (MARU)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service Excellence:

o Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking and processing orders accurately, and addressing any concerns or issues.

o Follow SOPs for customer interaction and service to ensure consistent and high-quality experience.

o Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, adhering to company guidelines.

2. Beverage and Food Preparation:

o Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages according to HQ recipes and SOPs.

o Ensure that all drinks and food items meet the company’s quality and presentation standards.

o Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of beverage preparation equipment, such as espresso machines and blenders.

3. Crew Supervision:

o Ensure outlet has sufficient manpower to operate the outlets through managing the outlet timetable and monitor on the staff’s attendance.

o Supervise and support crew members during shifts, ensuring adherence to SOPs and company guidelines.

o Provide training and ongoing guidance to new and existing crew members, helping them understand and follow standard procedures.

o Monitor junior crew performance, offering feedback and support to ensure high standards of work and customer service.

4. Operational Management:

o Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, following company SOPs.

o Ensure there is an adequate opening float cash each day, coordinating with the Store Manager to verify and prepare the float before the café opens.

o Manage cash transactions, operate the cash register accurately, and handle financial transactions according to company policies.

o Work closely with the Store Manager on cash management tasks, including handling cash deposits, reconciling cash drawers, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

5. Stock Take and Inventory Management:

o Conduct daily stock takes during closing shifts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of inventory levels.

o Reconcile physical stock counts with inventory records, identifying and reporting any discrepancies.

o Manage inventory control processes, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

o Ensure sufficient stocks are available to operate outlet smoothly.

o Ensure all equipment is in good condition.

o Ensure NO over ordering to avoid expired/damaged goods.

6. Reporting and Issue Resolution:

o Work closely with the Store Manager, reporting on any operational issues or challenges the outlet is facing.

o Identify, document, and communicate any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or other concerns impacting café operations.

o Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement solutions to address reported issues.

7. Compliance and Maintenance:

o Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including sanitation and cleanliness standards, as outlined in company SOPs.

o Conduct regular checks of café equipment and facilities, addressing maintenance issues promptly and according to company guidelines.

o Maintain accurate records related to inventory, sales, and employee hours, following company procedures.

o The Management reserves the right to make any adjustments to the current job description as and when the Management deem necessary.

o Assist in adhoc tasks assigned by Superior from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a café or food service environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior role.

  • Skills: Proficient in following SOPs and guidelines for beverage and food preparation, with strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills. Experience in inventory management and stocktaking is essential.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in food handling, barista skills, or hospitality management is a plus.

  • Attributes: Friendly, approachable, and able to handle high-pressure situations. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in stock and cash management are crucial.
