COPY WRITER

Duties & Responsibilities

Content Creation & Copywriting:
• Write clear, persuasive, appetising, and original copy for digital and print media, including websites, blogs, social media, ads and product descriptions.
• Adapt brand voice and tone for different audiences and platforms while maintaining consistency.
• Craft compelling headlines, taglines, and calls-to-action (CTAs) to maximise engagement.
• Research industry trends, competitors, and target audience preferences to inform content strategy.

Editing & Proofreading:
• Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and SEO optimisation.
• Ensure all copy aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure text and visuals complement each other.

Collaboration & Strategy:
• Work closely with the marketing, design, and Fresh Food teams to brainstorm ideas and develop creative campaigns.
• Participate in content planning and strategy sessions to align copy with business goals.
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine messaging.

Menu & Packaging Copywriting:
• Write clear, enticing, and on-brand menu descriptions that enhance eating experience and influence ordering decisions.
• Collaborate with Fresh Food teams to accurately describe dishes, ingredients, and preparation techniques while making them sound irresistible and mouthwatering.
• Develop packaging copy (labels, boxes, QR code content) that communicates brand values, certifications (organic, gluten-free, etc.), and flavour profiles.

Social Media & Digital Marketing Support:
• Create thumb-stopping social media captions, video scripts, and ad copy tailored to food-loving audiences.
• Maintain a consistent, distinctive brand voice for all platforms.
• Knowledge of latest social media trends and language is an added advantage.

Job Requirements

  • At least a Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or any other related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Copywriter, Content Writer, or similar roles (portfolio required) in advertising agencies or FMCG industry.
  • A flair for writing, especially for food, while having exceptional editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing trends.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and advertising best practices.
  • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office.
  • Well conversant and written communication in Mandarin is an added advantage.
