Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the integrity of inventory records, ensuring accurate stock management, preventing shrinkage, and collaborating with other departments to optimize inventory processes.
• Oversee stock receiving processes at the retail level to ensure all incoming goods match purchase orders and are accurately recorded, especially for high-value items.
• Perform regular cycle counts and full stock audits at retail outlets to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, determine root causes, and take corrective actions to prevent future variances, ensuring any variances are properly documented.
• Monitor and report on shrinkage rates, providing insights and strategies to reduce stock loss.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends that may indicate theft, stock misplacement, or vendor fraud and generate insights for loss prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with warehouse, merchandising, and store operations teams to ensure smooth and accurate inventory control processes.
• Communicate regularly with area managers and store managers to address any concerns related to stock accuracy and theft prevention.
• Ensure that all loss prevention policies and procedures related to inventory management are being followed across all outlets.
• Provide regular reports on inventory performance, including discrepancies, shrinkage, and compliance issues.
• Present findings and recommendations to direct superior, highlighting areas for improvement in inventory handling and management.
• To perform ad hoc audit, special review and investigation as and when required.
• Opportunities for job rotation to other Internal Control Sections.
