Duties & Responsibilities
- Head the Chill Distribution Centre in the Company.. Manage CDC in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Lead CDC team to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers (outlets),
- Plan, assign, and direct the workforce in the day-to-day operations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Manage CDC staff, including the hiring, training, and motivation of staff. Coach, mentor, and drive performance in people development and talent building
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the inbound and outbound operations of CDC
- Oversee receiving, picking, distribution activities, and arrangement of goods within CDC to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
- Develop and maintain efficient layout systems to maximize space utilization and streamline operations.
- Liaise with superior, suppliers, transport companies, and other stakeholders. to ensure smooth operations within process transformation and operations
- Coordinate with Demand Planning Team, Production Centre and Operation Team to meet delivery and quality requirements.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for improving warehouse operations.
- Participate in the planning and execution of the Company’s strategic development projects towards continuous improvement and growth.
- Plan to ensure set objectives for CDC are met; make recommendations for changes when the need arise.
- Initiate cost saving projects such as optimisation of routing, transportation, schedule, network and other relevant initiatives
- Manage the 3PL provider to ensure there is an efficient product movement and minimal damages at the most optimum practical cost.
- Maintain physical condition of CDC by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting tools and equipment, approve work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Ensure effective and safe use of CDC equipment. and vehicles
- Plan, manage, and coordinate new outlets set up
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing safety procedures and protocols.
- Proficiency in SOP by setting up, implementing and enforcing.
- Ensure 5S within CDC
- Prepare regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Maintain documentation and keeping accurate records of CDC activities.
- Other tasks as assigned by the superior/management.
