STORE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the team and projects meet the timeline given
  • Materials, quantity control for saving cost.
  • Communicating with stakeholders regarding project needs and goals.
  • Contributing to the planning and development of projects.
  • Supporting the coordination and management of projects.
  • Researching information as required.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as preparing quotation, materials, scheduling meetings, drawings etc.
  • Keeping track daily activity and reporting on project progress.
  • Completing any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner. (3 days following up)
  • Work directly with head of department to help implement project goals
  • Overview company projects goals and ensure project goals are achievable
  • Liaise with project lead and other all parties managers (internal and external) to maintain project schedule and efficacy
  • Review project implementation and gather data on project execution
  • To perform site measurement on the confirmed outlet.
  • To prepare project schedule for all contractors from site take over date to handover back to operation for business, make sure all contractors follow the schedule for project completion.
  • To liaise with landlord/ mall management/ local council/ BOMBA/ TNB/ Syabas to obtain necessary approval during project implementation stage.
  • To check contractor workmanship by regular site visit, workmanship/material that not in par with specification will be rejected and replaced with new.
  • To attend to contractor/supplier project query and provide solution to them
  • To organize project meeting to drive the project toward completion, regular site visit is a must.
  • To fulfill mall management requirement, make sure Pre-Opening Inspection (POI) is approved by mall management prior to handover.
  • To perform project handover to operation
  • To walk through the outlet with contractor to check for defects, make sure all defects are closed within 2 weeks after handover.
  • To make sure project closing administration is completed by obtaining as-built drawing, Operation Manual, VO clarification and Invoices Processing.
  • To build inter-department rapport for better working environment.
  • To assist on urgent maintenance request whenever required
  • To assist on other works, deem suitable from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in F&B/retail facilities, at least 2 years in manager/assistant manager position.
  • Experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Good knowledge of electrical wiring for single phase and 3 phase, includes lightings.
  • Good knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Good knowledge of general plumbing & carpentry.
  • Good knowledge of air conditioning.
  • Willing to work for long hours and weekends/public holidays.
  • Own transport and willing to travel around Klang Valley, and outstation regularly
